About the Artist
Geertje Kapteijns, known professionally as Kapitein Kalk, is a visual artist based in Dordrecht, Netherlands. Her artistic journey began when her children attended a Waldorf school, introducing her to the celebration of seasons, annual festivals, and the essence of childhood play. This experience rekindled her passion for art, leading her to create chalkboard drawings that evolved into a collection of cards and posters appreciated worldwide. ​
