Description
7 Reserve is described as an English tobacco and certainly fills the criteria for one, though some would argue it’s a Scottish blend because of the inclusion of Black Cavendish.
Whatever you classify it as, it’s a high grade tobacco that can be smoked throughout the day due to its quite mild qualities.
The ribbon cut of this pipe tobacco enables an easy pack and a smoke that doesn’t require too much thought or fight to keep it alight. The smoke is gentle which makes it a great starting point if you want to get into English/Scottish blends, or for those who smoke it regularly.
The smokiness of the Latakia is balanced by the mild mannered, woody, slightly spicy Oriental, with mildly sweet Virginia playing a grassy second fiddle and sweetened Cavendish helping.
The flavours turn richer towards the end of the smoke and you’re left with an easy -to-clean pipe.
