Warm and cosy, the Downdrift Parka Jacket offers winter warmth from 100% recycled down, and is made from NetPlus® 100% post-consumer recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets.
The Patagonia Women’s Downdrift Insulated Parka Jacket in Sunken Blue is a longer-length down insulated parka-style winter coat in a deep navy blue with a matching lining. The PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemicals) makes this a reliably shower-proof winter coat for cold, drizzly mornings.
With 600 fill-power traceable 100% recycled duck and goose-down filling, and a removable hood with hidden adjustment cord for a great fit, this winter coat will keep you snug in the coldest weather. It features two deep double-entry pockets, an internal zipped chest pocket for stashing valuables, a tall zip-through collar, and a two-way zip and windproof metal snap placket closure.
At home in the city or on country walks, the Patagonia Downdrift Parka Coat combines effortless style with the very best natural materials and is Fair Trade Certified™ sewn. Here at Babipur, several of the team have the Downdrift Parka coat and it comes highly recommended. We stock a wide range of eco-conscious layers built for UK adventures and are proud to be official Patagonia stockists.
FAQ’s
What is Fill-power? In a down insulated jacket, the fill power determines the fluffiness, or loft of the down. The higher the fill power, the more air is trapped around your body, keeping you warm and providing a better warmth-to-weight ratio. The higher the fill power, the more volume it takes up per gram in weight and the more compressible, making it a better quality for technical down-filled jackets.
What is recycled down? Patagonia uses goose and duck down reclaimed from cushions, bedding and other used items that can’t be resold, helping to reduce waste that would otherwise go to landfill. All their recycled down is certified by the Responsible Down Standard, which provides on-site auditing to ensure humane animal-welfare practices and high standards for the animals’ well-being.
