Ostheimer Red King’s Page | Three Wise Men Wooden Nativity Figure

A beautifully handmade wooden figure from Ostheimer’s Nativity Collection, the Red King’s Page is inspired by the tradition of Star Singers, also known as Epiphany Singers. In many European countries, children dress as the Three Wise Men and travel from house to house carrying a star during the Epiphany season, marking the journey of the Magi through song and procession.

With its minimal facial features and gentle proportions, the Red King’s Page can be used as a Star Singer, a child taking part in a Nativity play, or as a flexible stand-in for the Wise Men within a Nativity scene. Like all Ostheimer figures, it is deliberately open ended, allowing children to decide who the figure is and how it fits into their play.

Ostheimer figures are inspired by Waldorf education, which values simple, open ended toys made from natural materials. The softened forms and neutral expressions encourage imaginative play, giving children the freedom to project their own stories, emotions, and roles onto the figure. This supports creativity, emotional expression, and calm, focused play.

Hand made from solid maple wood, the Red King’s Page is hand painted with natural, non toxic water based paints that allow the wood grain to show through. The figure has white skin, brown hair and eyes, and wears a white robe with a red cloak and matching red hat. Each piece is made using responsibly sourced European hardwoods and finished by hand in Germany, resulting in a smooth, warm, tactile wooden toy that is slightly unique and made to be enjoyed for many years.
