Comoy’s Scottish Mixture pipe tobacco is, according to the 50g tin, “A secret Highland blend – rich and mellow”. This secret blend can be deciphered to some degree: There are definitely choice Virginias, mellow Black Cavendish with it’s fruity taste and aroma. There’s also some Latakia and a little Oriental for some oomph. As for the proportions, you’re looking at around 45% Black Cavendish, 30% Virginia, 15% Latakia and 5% Oriental… OK? The Mathematically inclined of you will notice there’s 5% unaccounted for! That goes to charm and character!… So that’s not actually content, but who’s paying attention to that and not just smoking this fantastic blend already?!
