Century Picaroon 1690 Plug is named after the pirates that roamed the Indian Ocean around the late 17th century.
A blend of Latakia, Turkish Orientals, Virginias, Cavendish & St James parish Perique leaf aged 30 days in Kentucky Bourbon barrels.
Pack your bowl, light a match, and pay attention! Wood, slightly musty from the Turkish. The Virginias provide a bit of grass and earthy quality, rich and full-bodied yet with an undercurrent of sweetness from the cavendish.
The perique allows the others to shine and entangle, contributing to its symphony.
No artificial sweetness is added to this blend, just a bold and highly flavorful smoky compilation of raisins and a light touch of pepper spice.
This blend is nothing short of impressive. Complex and compelling with no bite but does have the spicy tang of a good St James parish perique! Highly recommended for the true tobacco taste lover.
