Super strong balance board with a natural wool felt backing to protect hard floor surfaces and the board. Wool provides a super soft natural cover but isn’t as durable as the EKO felt version. 

The Wobbel Board Original with wool felt backing is a beautifully curved FSC beech wood board designed to support movement, balance, and imaginative play for children and adults. The natural wool felt base helps protect hard floors and softens noise, making this version ideal for wooden, tiled, and laminate surfaces. Inspired by traditional Waldorf movement toys, the Wobbel encourages rocking, creativity, strength, and open-ended play from birth right through to adulthood.

What is a Wobbel Board?

A Wobbel Board is a strong, curved wooden board that invites children to move, balance, rock, climb, and imagine. Children instinctively know what to do with it. Rocking back and forth helps develop balance, body awareness, and core strength. The Wobbel can also be used as a bridge, ramp, tunnel, chair, step, or play world accessory. Its open-ended nature supports physical development, imaginative thinking, and creative exploration across all ages.

Each Wobbel board is made from layers of European FSC certified beech wood pressed under high pressure to create the strong, iconic curve. The boards are made in Belgium and finished in the Netherlands using safe, high-quality materials.

Age, Safety and Use

The Wobbel Original is suitable from 0+ months and for all ages above. For safe, confident play:

• Always supervise young children
• Allow only one child to rock at a time
• Keep fingers and toes clear of the edges
• Use on a flat, even surface with 2m of clear space
• Bare feet or non-slip shoes recommended
• Avoid socks or smooth soles to prevent slipping
