Ostheimer Wooden Figures – Star Taler / Star Money
This wooden Ostheimer figure is of a beautiful blonde girl wearing a flowing blue shirt with star detailing. This figure tells the Grimm’s fairy tale of “Star Taler” or “Star Money” in which a poor, homeless girl one by one gives away the few items she has, until she gives away her last item of clothing to a naked beggar. As she stands alone with nothing, she sees stars fall from the skies towards her and she finds herself in an expensive shirt. She lifts it up to catch the falling stars, which land as money and she lives the rest of life with a fortune to her name. Use this figure as part of a story sack and for imaginative play too. She has been expertly hand crafted from sustainable, solid hard wood and is smooth, warm and tactile in children’s hands. Hand-made in Germany, each figure is beautifully unique.
